Securing Your Account
Best practices for keeping your Mamben Marketplace account safe and secure.
Strong Password Practices
Your password is your first line of defense. Create a strong, unique password:
- Use at least 12 characters
- Include uppercase and lowercase letters
- Add numbers and special characters (!@#$%)
- Don't use personal information (birthdays, names)
- Use a unique password not used on other sites
Consider using a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security with 2FA:
- Go to Account Settings → Security
- Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
- Choose your preferred method (SMS or Authenticator App)
- Follow the setup instructions
- Save your backup codes in a safe place
With 2FA enabled, even if someone gets your password, they can't access your account without the second factor.
Monitor Account Activity
Regularly check your account for suspicious activity:
- Review login history in Account Settings
- Check for unfamiliar devices or locations
- Review recent orders and transactions
- Sign out of devices you don't recognize
🔒 Security Best Practices
- Never share your password or OTP codes with anyone
- Be cautious of phishing emails claiming to be from Mamben
- Always log out when using shared or public computers
- Keep your email account secure - it's linked to password recovery
- Report suspicious activity immediately to support
